Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
This was so good! I was wondering if it would be a little bland so I added some Basil, Oregano & pepper to my Parmesan Cheese & Plain Bread Crumb mixture. I served with the Garlic Dill New Potatoes from this website and green beans and it was a perfect meal! This one's a keeper for sure!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
I thought this was excellent! I can't wait for lunch tomorrow! My husband and oldest didn't care too much for the cabbage but everyone really liked the kielbasa. Little one ate up like she was getting paid to eat!

Amish Friendship Bread I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
It wasn't anything to write home about. I think I've gotten spoiled with the bannana breads & pumpkin breads that I've been baking so this was pretty blah to me. I baked for 55 minutes & it was too done on the bottom. Wondered if an 8 oz container of sour cream would make this more moist...

Artichoke and Chickpea Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
This was wonderfully flavorful! Who would have known artichokes would be so good in stew. I did make a few minor adjustments. I used frozen artichoke hearts (thawed and chopped) and 4 rounded teaspoons of instant boullian with 2 cups of water instead of the chicken broth. I also used fresh garden tomatoes and added some fresh chopped cilantro. It was a wonderful way to pick up my wet rainy day! Thanks for the recipe. I will definitely make again.

Beef Cabbage Hash

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
I'll definitely be making this one again! This was a hit with everyone in my family, including my cabbage-hating fiance. I'm vegetarian, so I substituted a meat analog for the ground beef, and that turned out just fine. It did seem to take a bit longer to cook than 10 minutes, but I had it on medium heat, which may explain the difference. Apart from the meat substitute, I followed the recipe as written. Delicious as is, with good potential for making variations.

Easy Slow Cooker Carne Guisada

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
Yum! Mine had an inexplicable sweet taste to it. I am not sure if it was super-sweet peppers (I had baby bells) or if someone mixed powdered sugar in to the flour. But once I figure that part out, it'll be perfect! A little extra cornstarch in the broth when it's done helps it hold together in a tortilla.

Marinated Spicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
We made this as part of our OAMC rotation. Divided the chops and marinade between two freezer bags - thawed and cooked when needed. It was really wonderful. Cooked on the grill for guests. Thanks for a great recipe!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
We tried this yesterday. It came out a bit funky looking (top was "swirly" and uneven) but it tasted ever so good! This is a very good basic recipe and I will add this to my bread rotation. Thank you!
